He that walks before Me in truth shall be defended from evil attacks, and the Truth shall set him free from seducers, and from the slanders of the wicked.
O Lord, let your truth set me free from all evil affection and evil desires, that I may walk with you in great freedom and liberty of heart.
I will reflect on my sins with great sorrow and displeasure, and will never think of myself to be anything because of good works.
I have made up my mind not to think of anything great, nor precious and wonderful, nothing worthy of praise, nothing truly commendable and to be desired, but you alone O LORD my God.
I fear your judgements O God, and I am scared of your anger for in many things I have offended and how many good things I have neglected. I desired to have you in my heart at all times and your praise in my mouth always. Let your truth illuminate my understanding, and purge my affection, that I might always long after things eternal, and be unwilling to hear of things of this earth, and let indulgence in carnal activities of life be with grief. So that I might be able to understand what your Spirit speaks in me.

O LORD, my God, you are my all in all. Who am I , that I should dare speak to you. I am your poorest, ignorant and foolish servant, a vile worm, much poorer and very stupid than I know nor dare to express.
Yet you love me O LORD, I am nothing, I have nothing, and I can do nothing without you. You alone is good, just, righteous and holy. You can do all things, you give all things, you own all things. Please fill me with your divine grace, wisdom, know- ledge, love and power. Remember O LORD, your tender mercies and fill my heart with your grace. You who desires and delights in my prosperity. How can I succeed in this miserable life, unless you strengthen me with your mercy and grace.
Hide not your face from me, delay not your visitation; take not your Holy Spirit from me, and withhold not your anointing from my head, lest my life become empty and useless. Teach me to do thy will. Teach me to live worthily and humbly in your presence, shield my soul from sin and Satan, for you are my defence, my wisdom and power, forever and ever - Amen.

The more a man is at one within himself, and becomes single in heart, so much the more and higher things does he under- stand, for he receives the light of understanding from above.
He is truly great, who is great in love. He is truly great who is little in himself. He is truly wise, who accounts all earthly things but nothing, that he may win Christ. He is truly very learned who does the will of God and forsakes his own will.
A good and godly man prepares beforehand the works which he is to do before the world. Let this be your daily seeking, to conquer yourself and grow stronger than yourself, so that you may make spiritual progress for your good and those of others.
Good men do not easily give credit to every rumor or story, for they know that human weakness tends to evil. It is great wisdom not to be rash in words or actions, nor to stick stubornly to your own opinions. It is a great wisdom not to believe everything you hear, or to pour into the ears of others what you have heard.
